Barcelona 2nd term English Language Assistant

Our secondary school INSTITUT EUROPA is located in L'Hospitalet del Llobregat, a city close to Barcelona, (7km from Barcelona city centre) and it is well communicated by underground, train or buses. It only takes 15 minutes to arrive in Barcelona. The school has around 340 students from 12 to 18 years old. The school has a lot of facilities,3 labs, a library, a gym, digital boards in all the classrooms and we use digital books. Students have ICT courses and use the Moodle Platform and the Classroom.

The school has participated in various international Comenius and Erasmus projects with students of different countries. Currently, we are carrying out an Erasmus + project on Climate Change with 6 other countries, namely Portugal, Italy, Finland, Turkey and Poland. We enhance the use of the English language in class in subjects such as maths, chemistry, social studies, etc. as the procedure of a project called GEP. We have been implementing the project based methodology for some years now, and we will be increasing this methodology at a higher level since it is now compulsory in all schools.

The school year 2023/2024 in Spain is from September to the end of May and it is divided into 3 terms.

- 1st term: 11 Sept-20 Dec

-2nd term: 8 Jan- 22 March

-3rd term: 1 April-21 June

We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic and responsible person to help our students improve their level of English. The internship can last from 2 to 9 months. We have had language assistants from the United Kingdom, Ireland, Slovenia, Hungary, Italy and Portugal, and the experience has been highly positive, both for the teachers and for the students. It will also be a good opportunity for you to know the city of Barcelona, our culture and traditions and have a good time working with us.
