We have an opening in one of our dairy farms for an intern looking to gain experience in dairy farm operations.
The position is available for between 6 weeks and 6 months and included accomodation and a weekly wage paid to the intern.
The host is a large dairy farm located just outside Waterford city on a woodland site at the foothills of the Comeragh mountains.
This placement would suit someone who has previously worked on a farm as it is a fast paced environment.
Previous interns who have been placed here have worked in the milking parlour, fed young calves, assisted in the calving process, light tractor work, grass management, administration of vaccines/medicines.
