English Language Assistant

We are a Public Infant and Primary school looking for an English Language Assistant to help our students with their oral competence in English. We would like to develop our students competences in languages. We are enroled into an Erasmus KA1 project and want to prepare a KA2 in the near future and having an intern to help us teachers is a great opportunity to create a good atmosphere in the class and new relations with people from other countries for future projects.

An education degree or experience teaching children is needed.

We offer a 3 month internship (no remunerated) where the intern will have the following tasks:

- To provide support to the Class Teacher across of child centre activities which promote child development and learning.

- Take personal responsibility for specific tasks or pupils as delegated by the teacher.

- To work under the leadership and supervision of the Class Teacher.

- Act in accordance with staff policies and procedures and relevant legislation particularly, in relation to child protection and behaviour management.

- To assist the teachers with children with SEN.

- To support individual and groups of children throughout the curriculum.

- To be involved in discussions and reviews of children’s progress.

The timetable will be according to our school timetable and usually around 3-4 working days (Monday to Thursday). We offer food at lunch time for a special price. We also can help in looking for accommodation and transport issues. Orientation on looking for jobs in the area also offered.

As we are working with children, a CRB-check will be requested.
