Event Management Intern - Paid Internship

Erasmus Barcelona is the oldest and most popular event management company in Barcelona. Since 2009, we have been helping Erasmus and International students to enjoy the best times of their lives in Barcelona. We are a young, motivated, and multicultural team full of ideas. We create unforgettable experiences during our trips, parties and cultural events. Besides that, we also help new students to find accommodation and provide tips to adapt to a new environment.

We'll provide you with the knowledge and courses that will help you understand and work in an international environment.
 

What we expect from you:

• Creating databases for our event attendees (trips, social events); 

• Running email campaigns based on the attendees' database;

• Offering on-site event support; assistance in staffing at events;

• Develop event concepts, themes, and overall vision

• Promoting events on different Social Media channels; developing marketing and promotional strategies to attract attendees

• Responding to inquiries;

• Drafting event proposals; 

• Travelling with event attendees every weekend;

• Handle any on-site issues and troubleshoot as necessary

• Taking care of our Guests.
   

Our basic requirements are:

• You have to be able to receive the Erasmus + grant from your university

• Good knowledge of English;

• Motivation and ambition

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities 

• Desire to travel, meet, and communicate with new people from different cultures

• Detail orientation, being attentive to details

• Strong organizational and project management skills

• Being responsible and reliable

• Passion for planning events and social media

• Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends

• Availability on weekends

• Ability to anticipate project needs & meet deadlines with little supervision

• Proactivity

• Team player
   

IMPORTANT! We can only accept interns who are entitled to receive the Erasmus + grant for internship.

We accept interns all year long for a period of 3 to 12 months. We prioritize candidates who can start the internship in January/February or August/September, but we are open to other starting dates as well. Please note that we can only accept interns who can stay for a minimum of 3 months.

The internship is paid. We will honor your efforts with €250 per month.

The main language is English, speaking Spanish or another language is a big plus but not mandatory.
