This is a Teaching Assistant Traineeship offer in our secondary school is placed in Onil, Alicante, Spain, close to the Mediterranean coast. You can choose from 1 up to 9 month period, from September 2024 to May 2025.
If you are interested in applying for this opportunity, please remember that you need to be a STUDENT or RECENTLY GRADUATED that are aimed to become a teacher. It is VERY IMPORTANT that you are based in one of the 33 Programme Countries participating in Erasmus+. Details of the offer:
IES la Creueta is a secondary school situated in Onil, a small city located in the mountainous region of Alicante province in Southeast Spain, 30 km far from the Mediterranean sea , in a very nice natural environment. Students are aged 12-20 distributed at three levels: secondary school, baccalaureate and VET studies in PE and Forestry. Spanish, Valencian, English and French languages are offered to our students.
Our school is involved in several projects at national but also European level. We also are an accredited Erasmus school. Key actions of all these projects are related to ENVIRONMENT, TIC, INCLUSION, SPORTS and MULTILINGUALISM.
The main assistant TASK will be to give an European dimension to our school by helping our teachers to develop these main topics along their classes with students as well as help with the promotion of the Europena dimension of our school. He/she will collaborate in activities integrated in any of our lesson plans as BIOLOGY, GEOLOGY, GEOGRAPHY, HISTORY, MATHS, SPORTS, FRENCH, ENGLISH or FORESTRY according to the participant base studies. Those activiites will be carried out both, inside and outside the school.
We EXPECT the assistant to help to create a friendly, active, creative, sociable and communicative school environment with the aim of creating a place of learning and reflection. We insist on the importance of teamwork and collaboration to promote educational values as motivation and effort.
Erasmus+ team of our school will help the Erasmus assistant. We offer to the trainee:
- Help in seeking for accommodation.
- Support with the paperwork.
- Certify the teaching activity.
- Make a tourist visit and give information about the town and region.
We are willing to contact the corresponding university in order to draw up an internship agreement and to validate the stay establish the way to certify the internship.
Please note there is NO financial contribution for this short-term traineeship and that the trainee must be eligible for the Erasmus+ grant at his/her sending organization to cover their living costs. Also, the trainee is expected to arrange their health insurance for the whole duration of their stay. Candidates would be interviewed via Skype/Whatsapp/Meet.
